Wedding Film

I love shooting film. Everything about it. The mechanical feel of my vintage cameras. The sounds of the film winding. The look is unbeatable. When I look back at my digital photos from years ago I always think to myself how I would have shot or edited the photo different. My style changes and evolves and my art does with it. Whenever I look back at old film photos I never think they look outdated. Photographic film has been around for over 100 years and in that time companies like Kodak and Fuji film have mastered they art of light sensitive chemical emulsions. They have had decades to perfect the process whereas digital photography has had much less time. Digital cameras change dramatically year to year and in my opinion have yet to match films artistic qualities.

All that being said I am a big fan of shooting film at weddings. The photos have a timeless character to them and most of the time I will edit the digitals to look more like the film. Ive got an array of 35mm and medium format film cameras that I get excited just looking at. If you are getting married, I would love to capture your wedding on film.
