Romantic Modern Wedding in Hillcrest San Diego

Aaron and Audrey were the most thorough couple Ive ever shot for. Every little was planned to perfection. From the proposal to the grand exit. These two also have a unique blessing from the photographic gods in that whenever they are taking pictures the lighting becomes perfect. I shot their Idyllwild engagement and the whole day was cloudy and rainy but right as the sun was about to set it dropped into a gap in the clouds and gave us one of the most colorful sunsets Ive ever seen. Absolutely loved every second of shooting with these two:)

I was dumbfounded while editing the photos of this proposal. I’ve never seen a more spectacular sunset than this one. God really likes Aaron and Audrey apparently.

I was overjoyed a few months later when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. I knew they luck they had with their proposal would undoubtably spill over into their wedding. I was not wrong. When I got to the location for getting ready it was a house full of joy and laughter and happiness and everything you could ever want from your friends on your wedding day.

We did the first look, wedding party shots and some romantic portraits in the cactus garden in Balboa park. I could shoot 1000 Balboa park weddings. There are endless amazing places to take photos.

The ceremony and reception happened at Fruitcraft Fermentery & Distillery. I’d never been to Fruitcraft before. It was so pretty. Big fan of a Fruitcraft wedding. There were so many great spots for photos.
